Do You Take Insurance?

NO! I am still learning the process of credentialing and paneling with insurance companies, and I really don't want to deal with the hassle of submitting claims for insurance and waiting 30 days for possible reimbursement.

Also! By not taking insurance, I won't have requirements to diagnose clients with a mental health disorder to "prove" to insurance that they "need" mental health counseling.

What's the Difference Between an Associate and a Fully Licensed Social Worker?

Great question! As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Associate, I am under direct supervision of a Licensed Independent Social Worker who ensures that I am providing competent, appropriate, and ethical services to the people that I work with and helps address any ethical or legal issues that may come up.

Do You Offer Sliding Scale Rates?

YES! Please don't hesitate to ask about our sliding-scale policy. I am always more than happy to work out a price that would make my services more accessible for you. 

What Platform Do You Use for Telehealth Sessions?

I use SimplePractice for all Telehealth consultations and sessions! SimplePractice offers a secure, streamlined experience where you can book appointments and consultations, view your progress notes, and pay for your sessions all in one place. It is also HIPAA compliant.

What Can I Expect from the Consultation?

A consultation is for us to get to know each other better and see if we're a good fit! I would love to know why you're looking for therapy this time around and if you've been to therapy before- what has been helpful for you and what hasn't been!

I will talk a bit about my style and approach to therapy, and you can ask all the questions you want! If you're interested in moving forward with therapy, we can review scheduling, payment options, and go over what the first session will look like. :)
